Summer programme.

The last regular club night until Monday 6th September. However a number of events have been arranged during this period. Laurie Smith has handed out copies of our summer programme which I have copied below. It will also be on our website. I hope to see you on some of these events.

Saturday 3rd July. Chelsea Harbour - Bridges, Boats and Gasometers.

Led by Dave Harris tel: 07947 579 802. Meet at London Victoria, under station clock, at 8am sharp. There will be onwards train and tube travel, so purchase of a one day travel card is advised for best value.

Monday 12th July Meal at Eastern Queen Restaurant, Rushey Green, SE6.

Meet at 8pm at this Chinese restaurant for a just a social event combined with a meal.



Thursday 15th July Vintners Hall, City of London

London's favourite Livery Company opens up its doors to SLPS on Thursday 15th July 2010 between 11.00 am and 12.30pm.

We're meeting at 10.00 am at London Bridge, by WH Smiths.

You'll need a day off work, and bring your camera, as we will have exclusive access to this wonderful building.

The cost is £10 per person.

Afterwards, we'll head for a nice City lunch, followed by some more photography round the Square Mile.



Sunday 18th July. Denge Sound Mirrors & Dungeness.

Travel by car, please request or offer lifts by phone (see below). Aim to arrive at approx.12 midday. Meeting place to be confirmed.

Monday 19th July. Exposed exhibition at Tate Modern.

Contemporary photography. Tickets cost £10. Curator will be talking about the images starting at 6.30 pm for extra £5.

Sunday 8th August. Portsmouth Historic Dockyard

Travel by train, from East Croydon. Laurie will be booking a cheap train fare package for up to 10 club members.

Saturday 21st August. Caen Hill Locks, Kennet and Avon Canal, Devizes, Wiltshire.

Led by Michael Turner. Travel will be by car, please arrange lifts by phone (see below). In view of the travel distance Michael would like those planning to attend to email him at micheal.turner10@ntlworld.com beforehand.
