RULES

Print competitions shall be divided into four categories, advanced monochrome, advanced colour, improvers monochrome and improvers colour. There shall be four rounds of print competitions each year with colour and monochrome competitions held separately.
All prints must be mounted, may be either the member’s own work or trade processed, and must bear the title of the print and the member’s name on the reverse. Print mounts must have a dimension of a minimum of 25cm x 20cm and a maximum of 40cm x 50cm.
A member may enter a maximum of four prints in each separate competition.
Members must provide the competition secretary with the titles of their prints by email by the Wednesday prior to the competition.
Prints should be handed in not later than 15 minutes before the start of the meeting.
The title of each print shall be announced as they are displayed.
At each competition the judge shall be asked to mark all entries out of a maximum of ten points. In addition, the judge shall select the four best prints in each category, if necessary by the award of a plus mark to one or more of the prints. All prints so selected shall be eligible to take part in the finals competition. (N.B. See also the General Rule below regarding limitations on the number of prints which may qualify for finals competitions.)
A print finals competition shall be held each year for all prints eligible under Rule 7, when the judge will be asked to select a winner in each category plus three further certificates of merit.
