| 1 | There shall be one competition each year. |
| 2 | Slides should preferably be in glass mounts and these shall be of a standard size, that is 2 inches by 2 inches. |
| 3 | Slides must be correctly marked with a contrasting spot placed in the bottom left hand corner of the mount when the slide is correctly viewed in the hand. |
| 4 | Slides must bear a title and the member’s name on the mount. |
| 5 | No differentiation will be made between trade processed and home processed slides. |
| 6 | Members may enter a maximum of five slides for each competition. |
| 7 | Slides, together with completed entry slips, should be handed in not later than 15 minutes before the start of the meeting. |
| 8 | The title of each slide shall be announced at the time of showing. |
| 9 | At each competition the judge shall be asked to mark each entry out of a maximum of ten points. The judge shall be asked to select the best slide plus three further certificates of merit, if necessary by the award of one or more plus marks. |
