RULES
Projected digital image competitions
| 1       | There shall be four projected digital image competition rounds each year. |
| 2 | Projected digital image competitions shall be divided into two categories, improvers and advanced. |
| 3 | Members may enter a maximum of four images for each competition. Images must be in a JPEG format with a maximum horizontal dimension of 1024 pixels, and a maximum vertical dimension of 768 pixels. The images should be in the sRGB workspace. See 'Supplementary Notes' for further details. |
| 4 | The file name and media used to submit such entries shall be set out in a separate procedure entitled ‘Procedure for entering Projected Digital Images for Internal Competitions’. |
| 5 | Members must submit their images before the competition date, as set out in the separate procedure entitled ‘Procedure for entering Projected Digital Images for Internal Competitions’. |
| 6 | The projector used to judge the images will be calibrated to sRGB colour space. Any projected background around the images will be black. The title of each image shall be displayed at the time of showing. |
| 7 | At each competition the judge shall be asked to mark each entry out of a maximum of ten points. The judge shall be asked to select the four best images, if necessary by the award of one or more plus marks. All images so selected shall be eligible to compete in the final competition. (N.B. See also the General Rule below regarding limitations on the number of images which may qualify for finals competitions.) |
| 8 | A digital projected image final shall be held each year for all images eligible under Rule 7 above, and the judge will be asked to choose the best image plus three further certificates of merit. |
